Dr. Jundt is a dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed both dental and medical school. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors from Southwestern University and subsequently attended UTHSC San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he earned a doctor of dental surgery degree with honors and distinction in research. Following dental school, Dr. Jundt completed medical school at UTHSC Houston earning a doctor of medicine degree. Following medical school, he completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at UTHSC Houston in the Texas Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Jundt continued in academic medicine as an Assistant Professor teaching residents, writing scientific manuscripts and lecturing dental students, medical students, physicians and surgeons. He continues to enjoying learning new techniques and products and is a consultant for several major medical device companies with the singular aim to improve patient outcomes.
His professional interests include noninvasive methods to accelerate dental implant osseointegration, novel surgical device development, facial trauma, cost containment in health care, and the role of virtual surgical planning and 3D printing in surgery.
